Dear Jill and Don,

My picture-taking skills haven't improved, but at least this time she's not all wet. This is one amazing puppy. She's a great companion (at four months, even!), and she's so very intelligent. We've enjoyed a lot of family dogs, but never one with this level of "smarts" or her high level of wanting to please. She's been great with the grandkids even though she doesn't see them often. Don't tell the other guy, but he picked the wrong dog!

Wish Issy could understand what a cool daughter she has.

Well, I wanted to send you some real "beauty pageant" shots, but it didn't work out that way. We noticed how she loved to put both front feet in the outside water bucket, so Dave bought her a wading pool today. Afraid you have some pictures of a wet dog! Let me know if you can't see them, and I'll try something else.

Mom thinks Hansie is super, but her dog is now afraid of Hansie and runs instead of playing. Of course, Hansie can walk right over the top of that dog, so I can't blame the dog. And Hansie plays puppy-rough! She bowls the little dogs in the family over by lifting up a paw.
